Having started kettlebell classes with the Exeter Kettlebell Club in 2012 we’ve now expanded & also run kettlebell sessions near Sidmouth.

Performing a wide variety of kettlebell exercises at one of my classes you will activate over 400 muscles with each workout.

improves strength and reduces pain
Studies have proven that it can increase strength (both maximum & explosive strength) & offers a useful alternative to traditional strength and conditioning workouts.
Further studies have also shown that it can reduce pain in the neck, shoulders and lower back and subsequently improve muscle strength of the lower back.
EPOC effect
You will also continue to burn calories even after you have finished a kettlebell class due to the EPOC effect (excessive post-exercise oxygen consumption).
Following a kettlebell session your body has to work hard to return itself back to a balanced state: re-oxygenation of muscle tissues, oxidising lactic acid & glycogen refuelling. This process requires energy and this energy can come from fat stores in turn raising your metabolism to the point your burning calories after a workout and for up to 38 hours.
Put simply, kettlebell training is a faster way to reach your fitness goals no matter what your goals are.
